This is an introduction to a case where a GE6FA unit was installed. During inspections when the unit was stopped, varnish was observed on the surfaces of the bearings and load gears. Concerned users used an electrostatic oil cleaning machine and deep filter continuously for over a year, but the varnish levels did not decrease. To prevent unit trips, equipment from EPT was installed to resolve this issue.
