We would like to introduce a case of removing fluoride (F) and boron (B) from wastewater using ion exchange resin. In the cleaning process of a new product being manufactured at a facility, fluoride is generated, and we want to treat it to meet the sewer discharge standards. However, the chemicals used in the production contain hydrofluoric acid and boric acid, and after cleaning the products, the concentrations of fluoride and boron in the wastewater exceeded the standard values. Since the existing wastewater treatment facility could not accept this, it was a challenge to reduce the concentrations to the standard values before merging with the existing treatment facility.
