In this cemetery, we have adopted permeable and water-retaining colored sand pavement materials for the newly developed square along Higashi San-dori. While it presents a different image from the traditional Aoyama Cemetery, the natural colors create an urban atmosphere. Thanks to the permeable and water-retaining pavement, puddles are less likely to form even on rainy days, making it a more accessible area compared to the old-style cemeteries and graveyards.
