The "Robot Machining System" installs a machining spindle motor developed specifically for robots at the tip of a 6-axis articulated robot arm, enabling various machining processes. Recently, in collaboration with the cutting tool manufacturer "Iwata Tool," we have equipped the robot with a helical end mill, allowing for high-precision hole drilling in thin sheet metal. Distortion in sheet metal processing has also been minimized, making it possible to automate the entire process of automotive outer panel welding.
