Successfully improved the production efficiency of vacuum dryers! Introducing a case study on MECO shaft seals.
We would like to introduce a case where the "MECO Shaft Seal" was implemented in a vacuum dryer at the pesticide manufacturing plant of E.I. Dupont de Nemours & Co, a group company located in Alabama, USA. At the company, the manufacturing cycle was up to one week, followed by a downtime of 3 to 4 days, and there were times when seal replacements had to be done three times within a month. However, the market demand for their products had increased even more, requiring higher production capacity. In response, we introduced the "MECO Shaft Seal" that we handle. As a result, the adoption of this product successfully improved the production efficiency of the vacuum dryer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

The MECO seal is a shaft sealing device newly developed by Wuddex Bearing Company in Maine, USA, for low-speed rotating equipment. It has a special structure similar to a dry mechanical seal and is custom-made with a two-part design, making it very easy to retrofit and maintain in existing machinery. While it has high sealing performance, it also has a large tolerance for shaft runout, making it highly effective for retrofitting devices that use gland packing. Various models are available, including those designed to withstand high temperatures, those that enhance sanitary properties, and inexpensive off-the-shelf models suitable for simple devices, allowing us to provide original seals tailored to the customer's applications and specifications.
