Small parts are polished by a robot using a belt grinder with high-speed automatic pressure adjustment.
FerRobotics ABG
Robot polishing with a belt grinder! Instant automatic correction of pressing force significantly improves processing speed. With speed control and pressing force control, one machine can handle multiple applications.
FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during processing in polishing and grinding operations, which require skilled techniques, in relation to the dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-planarity of the workpiece, at high speed. It also automatically compensates for gravitational loads, allowing for consistent polishing/grinding with a set contact force. This is a stationary belt grinder equipped with our proprietary Active Compliant Technology (ACT) ACF. Its main application is automatic polishing with industrial robots/collaborative robots holding the workpiece. The processing contact force is automatically corrected in an instant on the grinder side, enabling consistent processing with a constant contact force. The rotation speed and contact force can be set and controlled individually, allowing for various applications such as rough grinding and polishing with high-quality finishes without changing the belt. Seeing is believing! Please check our website or YouTube (FerRobotics) for example application videos.
