We can improve picking efficiency.
We are picking 344 customers and 1,266 products per day. We have adopted a "single picking method," where products are prepared for each shipping destination, and we pick items while visually confirming the shelf numbers and products with the shipping slips for each destination. We faced challenges such as "the inability to reduce picking errors" and "securing personnel," so we introduced an "IT-enabled total picking method" aimed at reducing human errors and improving the efficiency of travel distance and work time. Regarding the implementation, instead of adding functions to the core system, we built a dedicated picking system.

1. Total Picking In the first picking stage, multiple orders are consolidated for picking, and as soon as the products are gathered, sorting is done by shipping destination in the second picking stage, finalizing the shipment. As a preparatory step, barcodes were affixed to all shelves, and a second picking space was secured. 2. IT Implementation The core system allows for daily "shipping slips (by shipping destination)" to be downloaded as CSV files. This CSV file is imported into a newly prepared database to build the picking system.
