Rishorite PPE resin for 5G communication printed circuit board materials
Risholite PPE resin low transmission loss printed circuit board material
Achieves low cost and low transmission loss / Suitable for hybrid substrates as well.
It is a substrate material that experiences minimal signal attenuation and speed reduction even when high-frequency signals flow through the circuit of a printed circuit board. 5G communication exchanges large amounts of data using high-frequency signals such as 28 gigahertz. Substrates used in devices like antennas, servers, and switches require this characteristic of "low transmission loss."

basic information
The mainstream materials for low transmission loss substrates are based on fluoropolymer (PTFE) and liquid crystal polymer resin (LPC), but at Rishou Industry, we have gained significant patronage by using the more affordable PPE resin as a base to achieve equivalent low transmission loss characteristics. Furthermore, since PPE resin has excellent adhesion properties, we are also skilled at creating hybrid substrates by laminating it with PTFE substrates or standard glass epoxy substrates. ☆PPE = Polyphenylene Ether

■AD-3379 (Left - Bonding Sheet) / CD-3379 (Copper Foil with Resin) Dk=3.09 / Df=0.0024 @80GHz Rishou Industry's low transmission loss printed circuit board materials have previously been exclusively copper-clad laminates (CCL). With the demand for many antennas in 5G communication, miniaturization and integration of devices through multilayer substrates are expected to secure installation space. In response to this, we have newly added items for forming build-up layers to our lineup. Since it does not contain glass fabric and lacks rigidity, please use it adhered to core materials. ◇Features 〇 The absence of glass cloth results in low anisotropy in dielectric properties. 〇 Reduction of skew is possible. 〇 Available in thicknesses starting from 25μm.
-
■CS-3379M Dk=3.35 / Df=0.0024 @80GHz This is a general-purpose E-glass specification, and among the lineup, it is the material with the lowest Df value. It exhibits stable dielectric properties from the 5G communication band (28GHz) to the automotive millimeter-wave radar band (80GHz). ◇Features 〇 More affordable compared to PTFE. 〇 Compatible with multilayer substrates with ES-3329A, ES-3329AD, or AD-3379.
-
■CS-3379A / ES-3329A (Prepreg) Dk=3.57 / Df=0.0059 @80GHz Multilayer molding is possible. It has low water absorption and exhibits excellent insulation performance even in high temperature and high humidity environments such as outdoors. ◇Features 〇 Can achieve high multilayering.
-
■CS-3379AD / ES-3329AD (Prepreg) Dk=3.32 / Df=0.0046 @80GHz The resin is the same as CS-3379A/ES-3329A, and it is a type reinforced with low dielectric glass. Compared to type A, the Df value (80GHz) is reduced by more than 20 percent. ◇Features Can support high multilayering.
-
■CS-3376G Dk=3.09 / Df=0.0046 @10GHz Released in 2013. It offers good cost performance and has received much support so far. It has a proven track record for 5G base station antennas in the Sub6 bands, such as 3.7GHz and 4.5GHz. ◇Features 〇Low cost

[Frequency Dependence of Dielectric Constant (Dk)] It maintains stable dielectric properties not only in the 5G band (28GHz) but also in the 80GHz band used for automotive collision avoidance radar. Compared to the general glass cloth-based CS-3379A, the low dielectric constant glass cloth-based CS-3379AD shows a 7% reduction. The AD-3379, which does not contain glass cloth, shows an additional 7% reduction from this point. The CS-3379M, while being based on general glass cloth, has dielectric properties comparable to those of the glass cloth-free AD-3379.

【Frequency Dependence of Dielectric Loss (Df)】 It maintains stable dielectric properties not only in the 5G band (28GHz) but also in the 80GHz band used for automotive collision avoidance radar. Compared to the general glass cloth-based CS-3379A, the low dielectric glass cloth-based CS-3379AD shows a 22% reduction. The AD-3379, which does not contain glass cloth, shows an additional 48% reduction from this point. The CS-3379M, while being based on general glass cloth, has dielectric properties comparable to those of the glass cloth-free AD-3379.
