The IC-M510J (ICM510J) is an international VHF transceiver manufactured by Icom. It is a fixed type with an output of 25W. This international VHF transceiver can be operated from a smartphone. By installing the free app RS-M500 (iOS/Android) on your smartphone, you can connect up to three smartphones to the IC-M510J via Wi-Fi. You can install the IC-M510J in the cockpit and use your smartphone to send and receive messages from the front deck, bedroom, or flybridge. It is equipped with AIS reception capabilities, allowing you to display the status of other vessels received from built-in and external AIS receivers (such as the simplified AIS transponder/MA-510TRJ) on the screen in real-time. You can also make individual calls to AIS-equipped vessels displayed on the screen. The large color display has a viewing angle of 180 degrees, making it easy to see, and it can be switched to night mode for better visibility during nighttime or twilight. The unit has a very slim profile with a depth of 53.6mm, allowing for both fixed and flush mounting options.
