Technical Data: Modification of Polymers Using Vacuum Ultraviolet Light and the Effect of Irradiation Atmosphere
Surface modification technology using vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light! Examination of the differences in modification effects.
Polymers are lightweight and flexible, making them suitable for various applications. Recently, a surface modification technique using vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) light has gained attention. VUV light has a short wavelength and high photon energy, allowing it to break molecular bonds through a non-thermal process. Compared to typical physical surface treatments such as plasma treatment, it is low-cost, causes minimal damage to the surface, and can effectively modify the surface. In this study, we irradiated polymers with vacuum ultraviolet light and examined the physical and chemical changes on the surface resulting from the irradiation, as well as the differences in modification effects due to the ambient gas during irradiation. 【Contents】 ■Introduction ■Experiment ■Results and Discussion *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
