Heat exchangers (plate type, tube type) require regular cleaning because sludge adheres to their surfaces over time, reducing thermal conductivity. Previously, we would stop the factory line and hire an external contractor to spend an entire day removing sludge. Additionally, the sludge was as hard as stone, and we had to use wooden mallets to break it off, which often led to deformation or damage to the heat exchangers. By applying a fluoropolymer coating to impart non-adhesive properties, we were able to reduce cleaning time to 2-3 hours, making it easy to remove sludge.
