1-Port Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP to PROFINET Gateway
The MGate 5134 is an industrial Ethernet gateway that converts Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP to PROFINET network communication. To integrate existing Modbus devices into a PROFINET network, the MGate 5134 is used as a Modbus client to collect data and exchange it with the PROFINET host. All models are protected by a rugged and compact metal housing, are DIN rail mountable, and provide built-in serial isolation. The robust design is suitable for industrial applications in factory automation, power, oil, gas, water and wastewater, and other process automation industries.

The MGate 5134 gateway provides various maintenance features to reduce troubleshooting time and costs, including LED indicators, protocol diagnostics, access monitoring, and tag views. These tools assist in data acquisition and checking, making it easier to identify the root cause of issues, especially during the installation phase. Additionally, the MGate gateway is equipped with status monitoring and fault protection features. The status monitoring function notifies the PLC/DC/SCADA system when a Modbus device is disconnected or unresponsive. In this case, the process PLC/DC retrieves the status of each end device and issues alarms to notify the operator. The fault protection feature executes user-defined actions when the host is disconnected, preventing end devices from being offline for extended periods.
