An example of design considerations for earthquake measures in the underground piping of the first floor of a building, such as the establishment of a pit.
Here is an example of a new construction project for a food factory. This factory is operated by a food company that supplies bento boxes to convenience stores. Since the design was done after the earthquake, not only is the structural design seismically resistant, but considerations were also made in the design, such as the inclusion of a pit for earthquake countermeasures for the underground piping on the first floor. Additionally, to ensure the passage and parking space for delivery vehicles within the limited site, the first-floor area was minimized, and the third-floor section that exceeds this area was designed to extend more than 4 meters, meeting the required floor area. [Project Overview] ■ Location: Hyogo Prefecture ■ Structure: Steel structure, 4 stories above ground ■ Area: 7,240 m² ■ Completion Year: 1997 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
