Laminating resin films with birefringent properties! They are bonded between substrates with excellent optical characteristics.
The "SB-RETAX" is a wavelength plate that, when linear polarized light is incident, provides a continuous and constant phase difference over a wide wavelength range. It is constructed by laminating a resin film with birefringent properties between substrates with excellent optical characteristics. Depending on the wavelength range in which the effect is obtained, there are differences in the number of film layers, available in two types: 3 layers and 5 layers. 【Features】 ■ Provides a continuous and constant phase difference over a wide wavelength range ■ Custom products - In addition to standard products, we can consider specifications such as substrate material, shape, size, and thickness according to your requirements - Since it uses resin film, it can accommodate larger sizes of Φ30 or more - Even if the wavelength range is changed, production is possible starting from the optical design of the film *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Function of Wave Plates** ■ 1/4 Wave Plate (1/4λ) - A wave plate that provides a phase difference of 1/4 with respect to the incident light. - When combined with a linear polarizer, it becomes a circular polarizer. - The circular polarizer has an isolator function that blocks the reflected light without transmitting it when the incident light is directed onto the reflection surface as circularly polarized light and then re-enters this circular polarizer. ■ 1/2 Wave Plate (1/2λ) - A wave plate that provides a phase difference of 1/2 with respect to the incident light. - When linear polarized light is incident at an angle θ to the optical axis of the 1/2 wave plate, the output is linear polarized light with its vibration direction rotated by 2θ. - When linear polarized light is incident at 45° to the optical axis, the vibration direction of the incident light becomes linear polarized light rotated by 90°. - When circularly polarized light is incident on a 1/2 wave plate, the output light becomes circularly polarized light with reverse rotation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Since its founding in 1966, Rukeo has been manufacturing optical polarizers and has consistently worked in the field of optics. In the early days, we produced polarizers for single-lens reflex cameras, but in response to changes in the times, we developed high-performance polarizers and began manufacturing and selling polarizers for microscopes. We also developed, manufactured, and sold strain testers that inspect the internal stress, or strain, of transparent materials such as glass and plastic, utilizing the optical properties of polarizers and wave plates, as well as optical units and lens units for industrial cameras, thereby contributing broadly to the optical field and society. Our showroom on the first floor of the headquarters displays various products, and we also conduct demonstrations according to customer requests.
