■What is a Cartridge Heater? A cartridge heater is a pipe-type heater widely used in molds, packaging machines, molding machines, and more. It primarily consists of a nichrome wire (heating element) wound around a molded object made of magnesium oxide, placed inside a metal pipe such as stainless steel. After filling it with magnesium oxide powder, it undergoes a squeezing process to increase the filling rate of the magnesium oxide, allowing the heater to release more heat to the outside of the pipe. The principle of the cartridge heater is based on resistance heating, as it uses nichrome wire as the heating element. ■Advantages of Using L-Shaped Cartridge Heaters Since the lead wires are oriented in an L direction relative to the heater, there is no need to forcibly bend and route the lead wires. This helps prevent wear on the lead wires. Additionally, because they are oriented in the L direction from the start, if there is no space near the heater's sealing area, it is possible to route the electrical wires in that space.

basic information
The cause of the cartridge heater's disconnection is often influenced by the selection of lead wires and their routing. By fixing the direction of the lead wires in an L-shape, it is possible to prevent issues caused by the orientation of the wires. Additionally, by attaching an SUS flexible pipe to the back of the pipe, it is also possible to increase the strength of the wire section.

Applications/Examples of results
[Application Examples] ■Examples include heating of molds, heater elements for hot plates, food dehydrators, hot melt applications, painting equipment, gas removal devices, semiconductor equipment, preheating sections of incinerators, machine tools, coating devices, adhesive insulation, heater rolls, and food manufacturing machines. By incorporating sensors, it is also possible to prevent disconnection due to excessive temperature. Waterproofing can also be applied near the lead wires. If you have any questions regarding heater selection, design, etc., please feel free to contact us. We manufacture at our factory in Mihara Ward, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, but some mass-produced items, such as those over 100 units, are also produced at our factory in Thailand. In addition to cartridge heaters, we also handle micro heaters, sheath heaters, aluminum cast heaters, quartz tube heaters, far-infrared heaters, silicone rubber heaters, jacket heaters (mantle heaters), and ceramic board heaters. Furthermore, we can also manufacture electric furnaces, hot plates, and dryers using these heaters.
