We manufacture cartridge heaters in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture. If you are experiencing issues with heater disconnection or heater lifespan, please contact us.
■What is a Cartridge Heater? A cartridge heater is a pipe-type heater widely used in molds, packaging machines, molding machines, and other applications. It primarily consists of a nichrome wire (heating element) wound around a molded magnesium oxide material called a bobbin, which is then placed inside a metal pipe such as stainless steel. After filling with magnesium oxide powder, a squeezing process is performed to increase the filling density of the magnesium oxide, allowing the heater to release more heat to the outside of the pipe. This makes it an excellent heater. The principle of the cartridge heater is based on resistance heating, as it uses nichrome wire as the heating element. ■Benefits of Using SUS Flexible Cartridge Heaters One of the characteristics is that they are protected from scratches due to being shielded from the outside by lead wires. Regarding the internal wiring, it can be selected based on factors such as ambient temperature.

basic information
The cause of disconnection in cartridge heaters is often influenced by the selection of lead wires and their routing. By attaching a SUS flexible pipe to the back of the pipe, it is possible to increase the strength of the wire section. Additionally, changing the direction of the wire extraction to an L-shape can make routing easier. Depending on the type of wire, it is also possible to extract the wire from inside the heater.

Applications/Examples of results
[Usage Examples] Examples include heating molds, heater elements for hot plates, food dehydrators, hot melt applications, painting equipment, gas removal devices, semiconductor equipment, preheating sections of incinerators, machine tools, coating devices, adhesive insulation, heater rolls, and food manufacturing machines. By incorporating built-in sensors, it is also possible to prevent disconnection due to excessive temperatures. Waterproof processing can be applied near the lead wires. If you have any questions regarding heater selection, design, etc., please feel free to contact us. We manufacture at our factory in Mihara Ward, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, but some mass-produced items, such as those over 100 units, are also manufactured at our factory in Thailand. In addition to cartridge heaters, we also handle micro heaters, sheath heaters, aluminum cast heaters, quartz tube heaters, far-infrared heaters, silicone rubber heaters, jacket heaters (mantle heaters), and ceramic board heaters. Furthermore, we can also manufacture electric furnaces, hot plates, and dryers using these heaters.
