We would like to introduce a case study from a cheese factory of a company that has been manufacturing and selling dairy products for over 100 years. Soft solid natural cheese is transported through pipes and moved to a heating oven. It is introduced from the top of the oven, and when closing the oven lid or tilting, it is necessary to move the pipes horizontally. The conventional method of removing and reattaching fixed pipe clamps to change the pipe position was inefficient and required improvement. When blending several types of cheese, there were many points for attaching and detaching clamps during pipe changes, leading to inefficiency. Therefore, we introduced a "sanitary swivel joint." After the introduction, it became possible to rotate the pipes 360 degrees without removing the clamps, making the opening and closing of the lid and the introduction of raw materials much smoother.
