basic information
Due to the withdrawal of Protolabs' Japanese subsidiary, the aluminum molds have been returned, and there have been numerous inquiries about whether production can still be carried out. It is difficult to produce with only the existing aluminum molds, but it has become possible to produce by combining them with our simplified mold system. The pricing is structured with basic costs divided by size and is on a fixed-rate basis. If there are slides, placement pegs, or special shapes, additional actual costs will be incurred; otherwise, it is generally a fixed fee. The aforementioned low-cost amount includes the basic cost to enable production with the existing aluminum molds using our simplified mold system, plus the prototype cost for product inspection. As soon as the inspection prototype is completed, it will be sent to the specified location. Please confirm the product and, if there are no issues, kindly provide your approval. We will proceed to mass production upon receiving your approval. For estimated costs of mass production and an overview of the system, please download the separate materials.

At Rocky Kasei, we leverage our expertise in manufacturing plastic precision injection molded products, such as those for mobile phones, to produce a variety of resin products for industrial, medical, and beauty-related applications. Recently, we have been actively proposing VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) technical information, which can lead to cost reduction and quality improvement when reflected in design, through our nationally certified first-class plastic molding technicians. We are working on creating a "Resin Injection Molding VA/VE Technical Handbook" that compiles this VA/VE technical information to assist designers and developers who need to reduce costs. Additionally, we focus on resin design, which is a critical point that influences the quality of resin injection molding, enabling us to eliminate failures and rework, reduce total costs, and bring products to market with a sense of urgency.
