"Birgstad Financial Park" was constructed as an office building for SpareBank 1 in Stavanger, Norway. The above-ground structure uses wood (a natural, renewable, and locally sourced material) as the primary load-bearing element. The floors are made of cross-laminated timber panels, supported by laminated beams and columns. The main wooden components are designed with strength in mind, and through high-precision processing, most of the wood can be directly joined without the use of metal fasteners, thereby shortening the construction process.
