Reuse of used panels
Since the introduction of the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) system for renewable energy in 2012, solar power generation has been widely adopted, resulting in a significant increase in total installed capacity. Along with this, the number of solar power plants that are damaged and disposed of due to various circumstances, including natural disasters, has also increased. However, among these, there are still solar panels that are capable of generating power. At Denken, we select the operational solar panels from those scheduled for disposal and conduct testing and inspection aimed at reuse while reducing environmental impact.

basic information
Flow of Reuse Inspection for Used Solar Panels 1. Visual Inspection Check the appearance of the used solar panels visually. 2. Cleaning Remove dirt from the panel surface using a high-pressure washer. 3. Inspection For IV measurement and EL inspection, we use inspection equipment from Denken, which is also used by domestic and international solar panel manufacturers. - IV Measurement Illuminate the solar panel with simulated sunlight while measuring the current and voltage generated by the panel. Measurement Device: Solar Module Tester/DKSMT Series - EL Inspection Inspect for micro-cracks that cannot be detected visually. Measurement Device: EL Tester - Insulation Resistance Test Apply more than twice the standard voltage to the solar panel to test for insulation. 4. Ranking Based on the inspection results, classify into good products (e.g., A, B, C) and NG. 5. Packaging and Shipping Package according to rank and transport to the designated location.
