Explanation of Yoshida SKT's modified fluororesin coating 'ECK-033'.
There are various types of resin for fluoropolymer coatings depending on the application environment. At Yoshida SKT, we specify materials and processing based on the product number. "ECK-033" is a type of modified fluoropolymer coating. It is characterized by excellent wear resistance and slip properties among fluoropolymer coatings. Modified fluoropolymer coatings form a coating film using engineering plastics or super engineering plastics combined with fluoropolymers. basic information
- Teflon(TM) Coating: Functions and Effects of Fluororesin Coating ■ Non-stick Property It has excellent release properties against strongly adhesive substances, meaning it does not stick or is difficult to stick. ■ Water and Oil Repellency It repels water and oil well when they come into contact with the surface, making it difficult for dirt to adhere and easy to clean. ■ Heat and Cold Resistance Among resins, it has high heat resistance, enduring high temperatures (up to 260°C). It also withstands low temperatures down to -260°C. ■ Low Friction It has a slippery surface with a low friction coefficient and exhibits excellent lubricity. ■ Chemical Resistance It is rarely affected or corroded by chemical substances such as acids and alkalis. While a thin coating may not be compromised, chemicals and solutions can penetrate the coating and corrode the substrate, so a thicker coating is used to prevent substrate corrosion. ■ Electrical Properties It has high dielectric strength (resistance to electrical breakdown), high volume resistivity, and high surface resistivity, providing excellent electrical insulation.
