About Silvec's regular aluminum anodizing
Our standard anodizing is done using the sulfuric acid method. The coating is nearly colorless and transparent, which makes it excellent for dyeing effects. When not dyed, it has an appearance very close to aluminum color and is referred to as "natural." Additionally, by dyeing with various dyes, we can achieve a metallic appearance in various colors. For aluminum die-casting alloys of types 10 and 12, the natural color is not a colorless transparent coating but rather a color that resembles a mix of dark gray and brown. This is due to the influence of silicon. Therefore, even for aluminum die-casting alloys of types 5 and 6, it is possible to dye them in intermediate colors. Our company is capable of processing standard anodizing and hard anodizing in accordance with JIS specifications and MIL specifications.

【What is Anodizing】 Anodizing is a surface treatment that electrolytically processes aluminum products at the anode (+) to generate an aluminum oxide film. Aluminum generates a thin oxide film when exposed to oxygen in the air. This is why it is said to be a metal with good corrosion resistance; however, the film is only about 10 Å thick, making it unsuitable as a protective coating for corrosion prevention, and it can corrode quickly depending on the environment. 【Anodizing】 Anodizing enhances corrosion resistance, increases the surface hardness of aluminum, and allows for dyeing and coloring, thereby increasing the added value of aluminum and enabling its use in various applications. Anodizing types can be classified mainly into the following three categories: 1. Regular Anodizing: Aimed at rust prevention, decoration, heat dissipation, insulation, etc. 2. Hard Anodizing: Aimed at increasing film hardness (making it harder) and improving wear resistance. 3. Functional Anodizing: Anodizing films with functions other than those of 1 and 2.
