About Silvec's hard anodizing
Hard Anodizing By hard anodizing aluminum, a highly wear-resistant coating can be obtained. Hard anodizing naturally develops a dark color, and as the film thickness increases, the color becomes darker. For example, with A5052 or A6063 materials, if the ordinary anodized coating has a hardness of about HV200, a hardness of about HV450 can be achieved, which is double that. However, the achievable coating hardness varies depending on the aluminum material. 【Thai Silvec Contact Information】 Office: 038-447-557, 038-447-558, 038-447-566 Thai Direct: 089-938-8207 Japanese Direct: 091-779-4427 E-mail: info@thai-silvec.com 【Japan Silvec Contact Information】 TEL: 048-994-5931 FAX: 048-994-5935 E-mail: info@silvec.co.jp

basic information
Anodizing refers to a surface treatment that involves electrolytic processing of aluminum products as an anode (+) to generate an aluminum oxide film. Aluminum generates a thin oxide film when exposed to oxygen in the air. This is why it is said to be a metal with good corrosion resistance; however, the film is only about 10 Å thick, making it unsuitable as a protective coating against corrosion, as it can corrode quickly depending on the environment. Anodizing is a process that electrolyzes aluminum to produce aluminum oxide. It has high corrosion resistance, increases the surface hardness of aluminum, and allows for dyeing and coloring, thereby enhancing the added value of aluminum for various applications. Anodizing types can be classified mainly into the following three categories: 1. Standard anodizing: Aimed at rust prevention, decoration, heat dissipation, and insulation. 2. Hard anodizing: Aimed at increasing film hardness (making it harder) and improving wear resistance. 3. Functional anodizing: Anodized films with functions other than those in categories 1 and 2. Our company is divided into four lines: aluminum die casting line, hard anodizing line, color anodizing line, and small lot & prototype line.
