"IK-1" is a photoacid generator of the iodinium salt type. By using a sensitizer, it can respond to long wavelengths. It employs a special phosphonium anion, which allows it to have an acid strength equivalent to that of SbF6 anion products, despite being non-Sb based, and demonstrates high cationic polymerization capability. It can also be used as a high-temperature type thermal acid generator.
