We would like to introduce a case study where Asahi Makam Co., Ltd. implemented a "Forklift-type Roll Transport AGV." Conventional AGVs had large body sizes, making it difficult to enter roll warehouses, and they were stored via transfer devices. Additionally, fibers and other debris would adhere to the drive unit, complicating maintenance. Therefore, this product was introduced. The body size was reduced, allowing for automatic storage in the roll warehouse. Furthermore, a brush was equipped on the drive unit to address fiber debris, improving maintainability.
