In introducing the hybrid system in the British Touring Car Championship, Delta Motorsport, with the support of Cosworth Electronics, undertook the design of an ultra-lightweight and high-performance battery pack. The new DC-DC converter power system is equipped with four Vicor "DCM3623 isolated DC-DC converters," which stabilize the battery pack voltage at 13.8V and can supply up to 92A. For backup power, our power modules are also used, and the electronic circuits of the battery pack are powered by a compact "PI3105 isolated DC-DC converter" with a 60W output, ensuring that the safety systems continue to operate even when disconnected from the vehicle's power supply.
