NightScope's autonomous security robot (ASR) is equipped with various functions and features, excelling in sensitivity, focus range, and accuracy during observation. The power supply must be compact and highly efficient, as efficiency and performance are significantly affected by cooling. Since the ASR has no airflow or exhaust vents, the company was looking for a fully conductive cooling solution that could utilize the robot's aluminum exterior as a heat sink. Thus, they adopted Vicor's "DC-DC Converter Module (DCM3623)."
