Ampaire has adopted an excellent scalable solution by using Vicor's power modules instead of the bulky "silver box" power supply. Our company has been producing quality-grade and highly reliable products for defense and aerospace for many years, allowing for the simplification of the component verification and certification cycle in the highly regulated aircraft industry. By separating the voltage conversion and regulation functions into a two-stage configuration, we use a fixed conversion ratio bus converter (BCM) to isolate and step down the high-voltage battery, and then adjust this output to 28V using a subsequent low-voltage DC-DC converter.
