Sunmatsu Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, medical devices, robotic automation equipment, and food machinery, adheres to the motto of "complete made-to-order production for each item." However, to meet customer needs for products with different sizes, shapes, and functions one at a time, it is necessary to change the production setup more frequently. To streamline the cutting process, the company switched from two machine tools to one advanced machining center (MC). The MC exchanges parts by removing manufactured components every 5 to 10 minutes and setting new ones. During the operation of the MC, a person is only needed at the workstation to swap out parts. To facilitate this, they use OnRobot's collaborative application solution equipped with the "RG6 Dual Gripper," which works smoothly with cobots.
