[Case 15] Communication Facility Roof and Road Surface Snow Melting (Electric Heater Type, Exposed Method)
Mats have been laid in the vehicle access area and worker passageway! This significantly reduces snow removal labor.
We would like to introduce a case study of roof and pavement snow melting (electric heater type, exposed method) in communication facilities. To protect the aluminum alloy housing of an unmanned exchange station from snow load, electric heater mats for snow prevention were installed around the roof perimeter. Mats were also laid in the vehicle access area and worker pathways, significantly reducing snow removal labor. In unmanned facilities and remote locations, electric heating (either heaters or heat pumps) is more suitable than boiler heat sources, which carry the risk of running out of fuel.
