Automobile Testing - Safety Systems
CSA high-performance accelerated thread testing device, 9400 series drop weight impact testing machine, 6800 series universal material testing machine, VHS high strain rate testing machine.
We provide testing equipment and solutions for structural and mechanical tests necessary to verify the validity of the design and material selection of each component.
■Collision Simulation Testing In the field of passive safety, Instron has delivered over 75 collision simulation thread systems, leading the market. In addition to well-known applications such as frontal collisions, offset collisions, and rear impacts, the simulation of active controlled pitch motion during frontal collisions has been proven to be an excellent technology in this field. ■Dashboard Drop Weight Impact Testing By conducting tests on both the materials themselves and the finished products, it is possible to investigate how differences in material selection, design, and manufacturing processes affect the impact characteristics of cover products. ■Tensile Testing of Wires and Insulators Instron's extensive range of fixtures and software enables testing under temperature-controlled environments. ■Frontal Collision Testing Instron's CSA high-performance accelerated thread testing equipment can perform various testing methods, including dynamic seat testing, frontal collision simulations with synchronized control of vehicle pitching motion, and testing of cargo restraint systems.

Instron was founded in 1946 by Harold Hindman and George Bahl, who were conducting joint research at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at the time. They developed the world's first electromechanical (screw-type) universal testing machine. The name "Instron" is derived from "instrument" and "electronics." Instron's product range offers diversity that can cater to almost all global markets and industries, and since its establishment, over 70 years of testing technology and manufacturing experience have been built, with more than 50,000 systems operating worldwide. In 1965, Instron Japan was established to support customers in Japan. Currently, it has major bases in the United States, Europe, and Asia, providing sales and services in 40 languages through agents in 160 countries around the world.
