Accurate mass spectrum extraction is possible! Useful for identifying causative substances in odor complaints.
The analysis method for VOCs in automobile interiors is defined as target analysis using GCMS, but it is difficult to capture all odor components through target analysis. Additionally, since there are a very large number of components in automobile interior VOCs, it was challenging to separate all peaks using one-dimensional GC methods. Therefore, in this analysis, we attempted to clarify the odor components in automobile interiors by combining sampling with a heated desorption collection tube, which can capture trace components, and non-target analysis using GCxGC-TOFMS. [Overview] - High-sensitivity analysis and deconvolution using GCxGC-TOFMS - Separation of co-eluting components that are difficult to separate with conventional one-dimensional GC and accurate extraction of mass spectra - Simple understanding of the composition ratio of each component in the odor - Useful for identifying causative substances in various factors related to odor complaints, such as product deterioration and changes in the proportion of odorous compounds derived from products *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Company information
LECO Corporation in the United States has been meeting the expectations of the development of materials and quality control analysis in various industrial products since 1936. In particular, in the field of carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen analysis in metallic materials, it holds an overwhelming market share and can provide analytical values that ensure sufficient reliability for global transactions. Additionally, the application of these analytical techniques has been recognized in various fields, such as elemental analysis of organic substances and nutritional component analysis in food, as convenient, safe, and more accurate methods. Furthermore, in the field of mass spectrometry, as a pioneer of time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF-MS), it has contributed to the accumulation of data that serves as a foothold for cutting-edge research in Europe and the United States. Moving forward, we will continue to strive to contribute to the development of new technologies, productivity, and quality improvement in various fields based on accurate analytical results.
