The ARES-G3 rheometer is the next-generation flagship model that inherits the tradition of research rheometers from the ARES series, which has been ongoing since the 1970s, while integrating the latest hardware and software. It can obtain rheological data that closely resembles true fluid behavior with higher reproducibility and reliability than ever before, without the need for geometry calibration or inertia calibration. Oscillation Frequency Sweep Temperature and strain are kept constant during the frequency sweep, and the viscoelastic properties are monitored as the frequency changes. This figure explains the viscoelastic characteristics of linear homopolymers and shows the changes in G’ and G” as functions of frequency. Since frequency is the inverse of time, the curve demonstrates the time-dependent mechanical response to short times (high frequency) resembling solid-like behavior, and to long times (low frequency) resembling liquid-like behavior.
