The MuCell microcellular foaming system developed by Trexel Inc. utilizes a physical foaming process that forms fine cells throughout the molded product by directly mixing and dissolving supercritical nitrogen and carbon dioxide at high pressure into the molten resin within the cylinder of the molding machine, and then extruding it into the mold to take advantage of the pressure drop. Since it uses nitrogen, which is chemically stable and extracted from the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide, a byproduct of industrial production, there is no need to consider issues related to chemical foaming, such as recyclability, the impact on resins like hydrolysis, or mold contamination. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
