At Kanto Chemical, we handle PFAS standard products from Wellington Laboratories, an international standard product manufacturer that offers a wide range of standard products for PFAS analysis. The company has obtained certifications for its quality management system, including "ISO 9001," "ISO/IEC 17025" for laboratory competence, and "ISO 17034" for the competence of standard material producers. Their standard products are also used in many research publications related to PFAS. ◆ PFAS Mixed Standard Solutions We offer mixed standard solutions containing three regulated substances under the Water Supply Act: PFOS, PFOA, and PFHxS, as well as mixed internal standard solutions. Additionally, we provide mixed standard solutions that comply with analytical methods such as ISO 21675, EPA 533, EPA 537.1, and EPA 1633. ◆ PFAS Individual Standard Solutions We also handle standard products for the following substances, which are being discussed for monitoring and risk management enhancement at the Ministry of the Environment's "Expert Meeting on Comprehensive Strategy for PFAS." Substances available: PFBS, PFBA, PFPeA, PFHxS, PFHxA, PFHpA, PFNA, HFPO-DA (GenX).

PFAS stands for perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances. Among PFAS, three types—perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS)—have established regulatory and target values in domestic drinking water and environmental water. The target value for PFOS and PFOA is set at a combined 50 ng/L (as of March 2025) under the water quality management target setting items of the Water Supply Act. Additionally, PFHxS is classified as a subject for further consideration. PFOS and PFOA are also designated as items to be monitored for the protection of human health related to water quality pollution, with a guideline value (provisional) set at a combined 0.00005 mg/L. Furthermore, PFOS, PFOA, and PFHxS are included as measurement targets in the provisional measurement methods for soil as notified by the Ministry of the Environment.
