basic information
There are various types of roll coaters that uniformly apply liquid using multiple rolls, and they are selected based on the appearance and film thickness requirements of the coating surface according to the intended use of the object. Here are some of the methods we are involved with: - Reverse Roll Coater This method involves the coating roll rotating in the opposite direction to the advancement of the substrate while applying the coating. Depending on quality requirements, two to four rolls are used, combining reverse and forward rotations. - Squeeze Roll Coater This method applies liquid to the object while adjusting the coating surface with upper and lower squeeze rolls. It is suitable for low-viscosity liquids and can form thin or thick films by changing the rotation direction of the rolls. - Offset Gravure Roll Coater This method indirectly applies liquid to the surface of a roll with gravure cells and transfers a pattern to the substrate. Compared to direct gravure roll coaters, it can achieve a more uniform coating surface. Since our establishment in 1926, we have been involved in the design and manufacturing of a wide range of manufacturing equipment in the steel industry. Additionally, we are capable of producing roll coaters for substrates such as films and sheets.

Applications/Examples of results
Our company has a proven track record in the production of various roll coaters introduced earlier. We design and manufacture coaters tailored to user requirements (layout, liquid type, processing speed, etc.). We will introduce the challenges we encounter in production environments on a case-by-case basis. Case 1: Adjusting the roll gap is cumbersome By utilizing servo motors and linear scales for absolute position control, we enable high-precision reproducibility and fine adjustments in the micrometer range. Case 2: Unable to improve the thickness deviation in the width direction Our excellent roll processing technology allows for a thickness deviation in the width direction of ≤10%. Case 3: Thickness is unstable Real-time thickness control enables a longitudinal thickness deviation of ≤20%. Case 4: Excessive liquid splatter causes equipment to get dirty We implement splatter countermeasures suitable for the equipment. Additionally, we can consider the layout of the equipment upon request.
