The image rotator prism is used for rotating, inverting, or reversing images. The image rotator prism is suitable for use in microscopes, telescopes, and rifle scopes, as well as in the microscopy and astronomy industries. The Schmidt prism bends the light path by 45° while providing an inverted and reversed image. The half-penta prism bends the light path by 45° without inverting or reversing the image. By combining the half-penta prism with the corresponding Schmidt prism, a Pechan prism pair can be constructed. The Pechan prism pair inverts or reverses the image without displacing the light path. The Amici prism bends the light path by 90° without inverting or reversing the image. The double prism rotates the image by 90° in an inverted image state.
