Edmund Optics has started selling stock items of focus depth extended (EDOF) metalenses. This allows for the introduction of advanced meta-optics without the costs and lead times associated with custom development. Engineers can directly procure metalenses from the Edmund Optics website, enabling shortened prototyping periods and accelerating development from design to mass production.

Edmund Optics announced that its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has been appointed as a Director at Large on the Optica Board of Directors for the term from 2026 to 2028. Optica (formerly The Optical Society of America: OSA) is a globally renowned society that promotes the advancement of the fields of optics and photonics. The board is composed of distinguished experts representing academia, industry, and research institutions, guiding the organization's strategic direction and influence within the community.

Edmund Optics has expanded its optomechanics product line with the launch of ultra-precise kinematic mounts, allowing customers to source both high-precision optical components and high-precision mounts from a single company. These new mounts are designed to ensure precise alignment with Edmund Optics' existing optomechanics products and components, enabling high compatibility among the product range and smooth system integration.
