The KB5921 is a separated type photo sensor with light modulation, featuring an infrared light-emitting diode on the emitting side and a modulated photo IC on the receiving side. Due to its light modulation method, it is resistant to noise from ambient light and can detect over long distances (max. 1.5m). It is suitable for applications such as human passage detection, workpiece detection and positioning in automated lines, and object passage detection in various automatic machines.
