"Daphne Oil 7373, 7575, 7676" is used as a pressure medium oil for high-pressure experiments and the like. It has the property of remaining in a liquid state without solidifying even under high pressure. Since it is a hydrostatic pressure, unlike uniaxial pressure, it can apply pressure to samples such as single crystals without destroying them, and maintain that pressure in a clamp cell.
