When transporting heavy objects, position information is measured and controlled using a retrofitted laser distance sensor on the overhead crane for positioning along the X-axis/Y-axis within 50-100 meters.
A system can be established to transport heavy objects over a distance of 50-100 meters using the existing overhead crane, with an additional laser distance sensor installed to place heavy objects in specific locations. By installing laser distance sensors on the X and Y axes, positioning with an accuracy of ±1 mm becomes possible, allowing for movement to certain designated locations. By also installing on the Z axis, height control can be achieved, significantly improving efficiency. It operates from -40°C, making it suitable for use in cold storage warehouses. The measurement accuracy is 1 mm, with a repeatability of 0.3 mm and a measurement speed of 250 Hz (fastest), and the operating temperature ranges from -40°C. This ensures sufficient positioning accuracy through crane motor control. There is no need for mechanisms to reduce slipping, resulting in a cost-effective system.
