We would like to introduce a case of support provided by our "Ideation TRIZ" to a mechanical parts manufacturer. Regarding a component of our main product, the automobile engine, we attempted to invent a new structure to improve its performance and apply for a patent, only to find that the same invention had already been patented in Japan by a German manufacturer. We considered giving up on the patent application, but at the suggestion of our consultant, we held a workshop to generate new inventions aimed at solving the problem that our invention was addressing. As a result, six inventions were created, and we applied for patents, five of which were granted.
