**Technical Overview** By applying AKROSE(R), it is possible to substitute the formation of surface coatings through conventional plating with the joining of dissimilar metal components. This AKROSE(R) coating technology involves the mechanical joining of base metal and coating metal through plastic deformation using pressing. In other words, while conventional plating processes deposit coating metal onto the surface of the base metal to achieve a coated structure, the AKROSE(R) coating technology obtains a coated structure by strongly adhering the components together mechanically.
