Broadcom【AEDR-9930】 is a 3-channel reflective optical encoder. The available options and programmable features include 3-channel digital differential A, B, and I outputs. The AEDR-9930 digital encoder mode provides 2-channel (AB) quadrature digital output along with a digital index output on the third channel. Being TTL compatible, the output of the AEDR-9930 encoder can be connected to most signal processing circuits. Therefore, the encoder offers easy integration into existing systems and flexible design. The AEDR-9930 encoder is designed to operate in a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for commercial, industrial, and automotive applications. The encoder houses an LED light source and optical detection circuit in a single package. Its compact size of 5.00 mm (length) × 5.00 mm (width) × 1.05 mm (height) allows it to be used in a wide range of small commercial applications where size and space are primary concerns.
