The sheet pallet system, introduced to Japan in the 1980s, required matching with the logistics quality and work environment demanded by Japanese companies. Initially, there were 13 manufacturers of plastic sheet pallets, but history shows that this number was ultimately reduced to just two major companies. One of these companies gained a competitive advantage by selling sheet pallets along with operational equipment. Sheet pallets are an extremely efficient tool because they can be combined with in-house pallets, preventing the outflow of in-house pallets on the shipping side and eliminating the need to manage other companies' pallets on the receiving side.
