Japan domestic standard reverse V transformer designed conforming to JEC-2200. This transformer is used when three-phase to single-phase (one circuit) is obtained from the transformer connection.
Three-phase to single-phase transformer. This transformer is a Japan domestic standard large-capacity transformer designed conforming to JEC-2200. This transformer is used when a single-phase load (one circuit) of considerably large capacity is to be obtained from a three-phase circuit by transformer wiring. This method is known as inverted-V wiring. (Inverted V-connection: phase and voltage transformation from three-phase to one-phase) ◇Advantage: No need to make two circuits on the load side like a Scott transformer. ◇Issues: The three-phase input current does not become three-phase balanced current as in Scott transformers.
