The newly designed IOW centrifugal oil separator can significantly impact engine lifespan, oil change intervals, and many other long-term benefits within organizations by efficiently removing more harmful contaminants from lubricating oil than any other pressure-driven centrifuge in the world. The patented centrifugal oil separator from the IOW Group comes standard with a sludge monitoring system (separator control unit) and features a unique bowl disk technology that was previously found in conventional large centrifuges. It showcased excellent performance on a chemical and petroleum products tanker equipped with a MAN engine with an oil capacity of 400 to 500 liters and an output range of 500 - 1800 kW (total weight 24,134t, length 183m). After 200 hours of operation, it collected sludge with a thickness of "22mm." The oil cleanliness dramatically improved, and the contaminants in the lubricating oil were significantly reduced. Remarkably, the oil analysis report showed that soot in the lubricating oil decreased by 83%, while copper decreased by 98%, iron by 82%, aluminum by 33%, and lead particles were completely removed.
