High-pressure bioreactor BioXplorer P series
BioXplorer 100P, BioXplorer 400P, BioXplorer 5000P,
The BioXplorer P series is a high-pressure bioreactor system for the discovery and optimization of new bioprocesses.
Designed for a wide range of applications from syngas fermentation to cell-free enzyme catalysis processes, it accelerates bioprocesses that depend on the availability of dissolved gases by using pressure and precise gas control. By combining customizable configurations with versatile software, it provides the necessary data to meet your exact needs and scale up more quickly. Advantages of high-pressure bioreactors include increased gas solubility due to rising gas pressure, which can generate commercial benefits for both bacterial and cell culture applications. The BioXplorer P series operates at up to 10 bar and offers the following advantages: ● Increased gas fermentation rates ● Improved gas transfer rates (exceeding high KLa limitations) ● Reproduction of pressure effects in large-scale operations ● Reduced dependence on sparging/stirring for gas availability Each reactor provides highly controlled pressure adjustments and monitoring, in addition to standard controls such as DO, pH, OD, and liquid dosing. Various features designed with operator safety in mind are included as standard.

Applications/Examples of results
BioXplorer 400P: It features a unique capability to run up to four bioprocesses in parallel at a maximum pressure of 10 bar. An increasing number of bioprocess scientists are turning to pressurized systems to enhance the availability of dissolved gases and accelerate gas-dependent bioprocesses. This is an essential tool for optimizing and scaling up such processes. The system is designed with a focus on safety and ease of use. For example, using two gas spargers for each reactor minimizes the risks associated with potentially hazardous gas mixtures. By applying pressure to accelerate bioprocesses, it is possible to achieve higher yields without compromising functionality or configurability.
