We respond to various needs, including those in the automotive sector and its surrounding fields, and we accept commissioned testing and research.
The following performance evaluations related to electric vehicle powertrains are possible: ● Evaluation of motors on electric vehicles - By supplying power from an external charging and discharging device, it is possible to evaluate the performance of the electric power unit under various power supply conditions without being affected by battery voltage. ● Evaluation of battery temperature and humidity dependence - By removing the battery pack from the vehicle and conducting driving tests with the pack placed in a constant temperature and humidity chamber using a chassis dynamometer, it is possible to evaluate vehicle performance solely influenced by the battery under various environmental temperatures. ● Energy flow analysis - Energy flow analysis and performance evaluation of onboard charger efficiency and fast charger efficiency can be conducted by measuring motor input power, power unit input power, wheel drive force, and roller surface force of the chassis dynamometer. Please feel free to contact us regarding testing facilities or commissioned testing.

We are a testing and research institution that broadly accepts examinations and research from everyone. Our institute was established in April 1969 as the Automotive High-Speed Testing Ground Foundation, restructured to conduct comprehensive research related to automobiles. As a public interest testing and research institution, we have engaged in neutral and public activities, progressing alongside the development of Japan's automotive industry and advancements in automotive technology. In 2012, we became the Japan Automobile Research Institute, a foundation that broadly accepts examinations and research from everyone, while maintaining our public interest activities and contributing to the further advancement of the automotive society in the 21st century.
