We are a testing and research institution that broadly accepts examinations and research from everyone. Our institute was established in April 1969 as the Automotive High-Speed Testing Ground Foundation, restructured to conduct comprehensive research related to automobiles. As a public interest testing and research institution, we have engaged in neutral and public activities, progressing alongside the development of Japan's automotive industry and advancements in automotive technology. In 2012, we became the Japan Automobile Research Institute, a foundation that broadly accepts examinations and research from everyone, while maintaining our public interest activities and contributing to the further advancement of the automotive society in the 21st century.
